A POINT OF VIEW
The Earth is a planet of water. As water has a power of containing heat energy,
the ocean is responsible for driving the climate system.
The picture of the Southern Ocean remains ambiguous, due to the inaccessibility and the dynamical complexity associated with the presence of ice in the region, despite its importance for the global climate.
