A POINT OF VIEW
The Earth is a planet of water. Since water has remarkable heat capacity among substances on the Earth,
the ocean is in charge of the main driver of the climate system.
What should be noticed is that the Southern Ocean holds great ambiguity primely due to its inaccessibility and dynamical complexity, which are associated with ice, despite its great importance in the global climate.
